Landfills are filling up, plain and simple, and
less landfill space means higher trash disposal
costs for your business.
State
law requires that all cities and counties must
reduce their waste sent to the landfill by 50%.
The City is currently at a division rate of
approximately 28-30%, and has received an
extension until December 2004. We need your
help to reach 50% or the City may be fined
$10,000 per day for non-compliance. We ask that
you actively participate in the recycling programs
at home and at work.
You
don't have to be an expert in recycling, or even
hire one, to start or expand a recycling program.
We will look at the various cost saving collection
methods, recycling opportunities, and customize
the level of service for your business at no
cost to you.
